The work we do in our journals is not to become perfect, or even good, it’s to become better. Better at living and learning and giving and doing. For me it might look like a new strategy for getting going in the morning, a good reason to join a conversation or share a thought, or noticing something beautiful or funny or brilliant that changes the experience of an ordinary day. I’m still so bad at so many things, but I’m also flourishing.
